This tunnel will serve as part of the power transmission network of the city of Esfahan, carrying the 230 kV cables from the First Islam Abad Power Plant. The tunnel is located between Esfehan university and Taleghani Post with total lenght of 4,000m . The project, which is excavated by a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), has been awarded in the framework of an EPC contract to Tablieh–Parhoon Tarh Joint Venture.
